Patient Participation Group

We have set up a Patient Participation Group to encourage patients to give their views about the practice.

Our aim is to establish a community of patients who we can contact to get their opinions on matters relevant to the practice and local health provision.

The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of volunteers who are patients of MMC working in collaboration with GPs and surgery staff to:
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of local healthcare services
– Foster improved communication between the practice and patients
– Provide practical support to implement change at a practice level
– Respond to developments in local NHS provision

PPG Benefits

Patients will have a better understanding and knowledge of the practice and its staff.
This allows latest information to be given to patients regarding the practice and will inform what decisions can be influenced and what cannot.
It will allow to present the patient’s perspective to the practice staff and help them gain an understanding.
Patients will benefit from improved communications between patients and staff
GPs and their staff will be able to plan services jointly with patients in order to increase their effectiveness.
They will be able to get help from patients in meeting targets and objectives.
They will have a forum to voice concerns, ideas and suggestions to patients.
They will get closer to the community for whom they care.

Join Our PPG

We are looking for people of all ages, gender or background to attend regular (currently, quarterly) meetings at the Practice to work with the Practice Team to develop and improve patient services.

We hold regular meetings with representatives of PPG where concerns and ideas are discussed so that improvements can be put in place to improve patient health and experience.

If you wish to join our PPG, please contact reception:
