Screening plays a crucial role in early detection and prevention of abnormalities, often preventing the development of cancer.
The NHS UK provides three screening programmes: Breast Screening, Cervical Screening, and Bowel Screening. Eligible individuals are automatically contacted and invited for screening.
Attending screening when invited is crucial for early detection and prevention.
- If you’re due or overdue for a smear test, please contact the surgery to schedule an appointment with the practice nurse.
